Laura started her training age 4 at Studio Six Dance School so has literally come full circle! She studied at Italia Conti part time before completing her training and qualifications at Performers Dance college under the direction of Brian Rogers.
She is a fully qualified teacher with both the British Theatre Dance Association and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.

Laura has been the Principal of Studio Six for 21 years. For 14 of those years she ran the school together with her best friend Roz Wilson who we sadly lost in 2017. She continues to inspire and dance in our hearts always.
As well as running the school Laura has choreographed over 50 pantomimes and local amateur shows in the community. Her focus is on building the school to its full potential, giving the students the best opportunities and experiences she can. Ensuring her school is an inclusive, safe, happy haven for all to learn, grow and enjoy whether it's as a hobby or pursuing a career in the industry.
She is eternally grateful for the wonderful team she has by her side whom without none of this would be possible. Laura’s love, passion, energy and commitment to Studio Six is undeniable. She feels truly blessed to guide,nurture, inspire and pass on her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of dance and theatre

Following an extensive and successful career in the industry, Martin has been a vocal/acting coach in Folkestone for 15 years. Under his guidance his students have gained places at all the top prestigious performing arts colleges such as Arts Ed, Mountview, LCM, BIMM, Leeds Conservatoire, Trinity Laban, Sylvia young and Brit school. Many of his students are now performing in the west end and building established careers for themselves.

He has worked as a session singer and writer for film scores, tv adverts and national tours and as an actor on TV and films such as The Bill, Barrymore and A dangerous man.
Martin takes the vocal group at Studio six. The emphasis is on creating original harmonies from popular and music theatre songs. Singers learn to adapt vocally and begin to understand what is required in performance, Changing styles and genres depending on the coming shows or competitions.
Martin finds Studio Six to be educational, enlightening, and most of all empowering for everyone.
Sophie joined Studio Six in 2007 when she was 6 years old, just because she “loved to dance”. Roz Wilson spotted her potential immediately and encouraged her to try the core subjects of Ballet, Modern and Tap. The rest is history!
Fast forward to 2015 when Sophie became a student teacher with the studio under the tutorage of Laura Gibson. Sophie always knew she wanted dance to be a part of her life and when she started teaching at the studio, she realised that choreography was the direction she wanted to take. She has been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to choreograph some amazing shows locally - including Sound of Music, Sunset Boulevard, Sister Act and Beauty and the Beast.
Sophie’s day job is teaching at a local SEN school for all ages, she has recently been able to incorporate her SEN knowledge to start an SEN dance class at Studio Six.
Wayne began his dance training at Studio Six aged 5. He then went on to train professionally at Performers College at sixteen under the tutorage of Brian Rogers where he gained his teaching qualifications in all subjects. Wayne went on to work professionally as a dancer and was fortunate enough to work in many areas of the industry. Wayne worked in film, television and stage and some of his accomplishments include touring with Michael Jackson, making a movie with Whoopi Goldberg, being a resident dancer on the TV show Talking Telephone Numbers and playing Mr Mistoffelees in the musical Cats. Wayne has been teaching dance for twenty five years at several dance colleges and professional dance studios in and around London. Wayne is so happy to be back where it all began and teaching at Studio Six and gets great satisfaction from helping and watching the incredibly talented students progress and flourish.
Tilly started dancing and performing from a young age. She then went on to train professionally. Once graduated, her passion for performing developed Into choreography and teaching.
Her credits include Matilda the musical (west end) , Billy Elliot UK tour, Robbie Williams Christmas music video, ido European champion and hhi uk champion with Unity uk and Dance World Cup medalist choreography and dancer.
Tilly now teaches and choreographs all over the uk developing new talent, including at Can You Dance super convention.
Amy was a student at Studio Six from the age of three to sixteen, and has a deep appreciation for the arts and the transformative power of dance. She started teaching singing at Studio Six in 2008. Her professional experience has been diverse and exciting. She worked as a Production Manager, Singer, and Dancer in Europe in west end style shows. Additionally, she had experience as a Singer and Dancer within a female band in Dubai, as well as an Entertainments Manager at Holiday Village in Spain.
Her previous experience also includes working as a Presenter Trainer, and Choreographer at Haven holidays and has even had the opportunity to tour professionally as a Dancer in clockwork. As a lifelong learner, she is passionate about dancing and singing and believes that every pupil deserves access to high-quality learning opportunities to grow in confidence and excel in personality.
