Classes
At studio six we offer an exciting range of classes throughout the week in all styles of dance and theatre. From beginners to those who wish to pursue a professional career in the industry we offer something for all.
Baby Stars
These classes are for parent/carer and toddler from walking age to 4 years.
An introduction to ballet, dance and music developing rhythm and social skills
Little Stars
These classes are for age 3-7 years.
Ballet, tap, musical theatre and jazz
Structured, fun and confidence building these classes offer an introduction to the different dance disciplines building on basic techniques and performance skills across the styles
Juniors
These classes are for age 7-13 years.
Ballet, tap, musical theatre, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, street, commercial, acro and drama and singing.
Emphasis on fun confidence building but with a structured approach.
Seniors
These classes are for age 14-19 years
Ballet, tap, musical theatre, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, street, commercial and singing.
Classes are split according to ability and are an insight into the professional industry.
Boys Classes
At Studio Six boys are welcome in all classes for all ages and we also have an all boys street dance class suitable for age 5+
SEN Classes
Junior and senior
At studio six all of our classes are fully inclusive but can be quite busy and so we wanted to create a class that will be mindful for sensory needs. Our SEN classes include:
- No flashing lights
- Quieter music
- Smaller class size
- Calm nurturing environment
- Students can bring a toy or a comfort item
Exams
We offer exams with the British theatre dance association twice a year to work on progression and achievement.

All of our students have the opportunity to perform at our local theatres the Leas Cliff Hall and the Tower Theatre In our annual shows and for most this is the highlight of every year
At studio six we hold auditions for our award winning performance team troupes. Being a part of the team is an increased level of commitment dedication and effort but the most rewarding experience ever!
Your child needs to meet the criteria to audition (please see terms and conditions for requirements) auditions are held throughout the year depending on the schools calender
