Studio Six have always been known for the high standard of troupes we have. We have won many competitions, talent shows and accredited festivals over the years and are very proud of this.
We hold troupe auditions every year, to be eligible to audition you must meet the following requirements
SENIOR DANCE TROUPES 12 and over – Students MUST attend Jazz or a Modern grade class as well as Ballet, stretch/technique and performance team training. Plus street or contemporary and Depending on troupe tap or Musical Theatre.
JUNIOR/SENIOR MUSICAL THEATRE TROUPES students MUST attend Musical Theatre class or vocal group PLUS Modern or street jazz and performance team training.
JUNIOR JAZZ TROUPES 11 and under – students MUST attend Ballet and Modern/Jazz or street Jazz plus performance team training and one other class at studio six (street/lyrical/tap/mt). JUNIOR STREET troupes same as above except don’t need to attend ballet
LITTLE STARS TROUPES Students MUST attend classes in Ballet, Jazz/modern and musical theatre. They are welcome to join junior Performance team training but this is not yet compulsory
Being in a troupe is about working as a team and being available for rehearsals sometimes at the drop of a hat! We need 100% commitment from members and advise parents they will incur extra costs with costumes/rehearsals/travel to competitions etc.
We expect a certain level of behaviour from students in our troupes as they are representing the school at events and all troupe members must have full uniform (T-shirt, vest, leggings, jacket/hoody and performance team tracksuit)
Please only audition if you can give 100% commitment
